Micro-Creds

Microcredentials are awarded for participating in short, innovative, skills-based learning experiences. 

These allow learners to add value to their career and validate their workshop experience. The microcredentials are authenticated with a virtual “badge.”

One-on-one's are brief, scheduled meetings with editors or agents.

A Week Packed With Soul Care

Scriptoria is a week-long writing workshop that focuses on writing craft, creative soul care, editing, and genre. Each day is filled with valuable workshops, lessons, and community.

         Gary Schmidt

Award-Winning Faculty

Scriptoria features lessons and writing instruction from award-winning writers like and professors of writing from Calvin, Cornerstone, and Aquinas. 

2024 Speaker Lineup:

Hugh Cook

Emeritus professor of English at Redeemer University and earned an MFA from the Writers’ Workshop at the University of Iowa. His poetry has been published in Canadian literary journals such as Quarry, Canadian Poetry, The Canadian Forum, Folio, and The University of Windsor Review. 

Linda Nemec Foster

Her work appears in magazines and journals such as The Georgia Review, Nimrod, New American Writing, North American Review, Verse Daily, and the 2022 Best Small Fictions Anthology. Her new flash fiction collection, Bone Country, was released in 2023.

Daniel Nayeri

His award-winning 2020 autobiographical novel Everything Sad Is Untrue has been on several “best book” lists, including those of the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, NPR, and Publisher’s Weekly.
